Plate Washers can be round or square, plate washers are used in a variation of applications but are most commonly used with a straight rod anchor bolt, sometimes loose with two nuts or tack welded to the anchor rod. The use of plate washers on an anchor rod can provide a larger surface area which requires more force in tension to pull the anchor out of its embedment.
